A delegation from Al-Quds University visits the Jordanian Senate

A delegation from Al-Quds University visited the Jordanian Senate on Monday and met with Senators Dr. Zohair Abu Fares, Issa Murad, and Khawla Al-Armouti.

The delegation, which included students from the Faculty of Law at the university and was headed by Dean Dr. Issa Mnasra, listened to a presentation on Jordan's parliamentary and democratic experience, the composition of the Senate, and its duties regarding legislation and oversight according to the constitution.

Dr. Abu Fares noted that Jordan's political, diplomatic, and media discourse has been clear and strong in supporting the Palestinian people, rejecting aggression, holding Israel accountable for its crimes, and enabling the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

Murad emphasized the importance of the Hashemite custodianship in defending Jerusalem, protecting its sanctities, and preserving its religious, historical, civilizational, and humanitarian identity, while preventing its judaization in the face of Israeli aggression.

Al-Armouti pointed out that Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, will continue to support the Palestinian people, noting that the Palestinian cause is at the forefront of His Majesty’s priorities.

The head and members of the delegation praised the important role played by the Senate in the areas of oversight and the enactment of laws and legislation, expressing their pride in Jordan's honorable positions under the leadership of His Majesty the King in defending the rights of the Palestinian people.
