Launch of the National Social Protection Strategy 2025–2033 Under Royal Patronage

Amman – On behalf of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan sponsored the launch of the National Social Protection Strategy 2025–2033 during a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Social Development, attended by a number of officials, stakeholders, experts, and specialists in social and economic affairs.

The strategy aims to advance the social protection system in the Kingdom and ensure fair and equitable access to services and support for the most vulnerable groups, in line with an evidence-based and participatory planning approach.

Senator Issa Haidar Murad, Chair of the Senate’s Labor and Social Development Committee, presided over the main session of the launch event, which was dedicated to discussing two key pillars of the strategy: "Dignity" and "Opportunity." The session featured several prominent speakers, including:

Dr. Jadallah Al-Khalaileh, Director General of the Social Security Corporation

Dr. Sawsan Al-Majali, representative of the Jordanian National Alliance

Dr. Ahmad Awad, economic and information policy consultant

The session was marked by a scientific and analytical depth, with speakers addressing the strategy's components with professionalism and transparency. They provided a detailed presentation of its foundations and proposed areas of intervention, along with a review of potential challenges and effective implementation mechanisms.

The discussions reflected a high level of transparency and professionalism, underscoring the commitment of relevant institutions to enhancing institutional integration and collaboration across sectors to ensure the sustainability of social programs and initiatives.

The efforts of Minister of Social Development Wafa Bani Mustafa and her team were evident in the preparation of the strategic document and coordination of its launch. Their work emphasized institutional coherence and effective implementation, reinforcing Jordan’s leadership in developing human rights–based and socially just protection policies.
