Senator Yaghi visits "Tawasul" and "Tuba" centers for special education

Amman - Senator Asia Yaghi, head of the Committee for Persons with Disabilities in the Senate, visited the Tawasul Center for Special Education on Tuesday, in the presence of Dr. Ihsan Al-Khalidi and the Secretary of the Committee Thamer Al-Sakhen.

The head of the committee met with the center's general manager Thamer Al-Jubouri and a number of the center's employees. The visit aimed to listen to the most important observations related to the Jordanian Law for Persons with Disabilities and its impact on private centers, especially with regard to shelters.

During a tour of the center, Yaghi met with a number of children, expressing her great thanks for the efforts made by the center's management and the warm reception.

In a separate context, the Secretariat of Persons with Disabilities in the Jordanian Social Democratic Party, in cooperation with the head of the Committee for Persons with Disabilities in the Senate, Asia Yaghi, held a discussion session at the Tuba Academy for Special Education on Tuesday, in the presence of Dr. Ihsan Al-Khalidi, the Secretary of the Committee Thamer Al-Sakhen, and a number of members of the party's secretariat.

The Director General of Tooba Academy for Special Education, Sadiq Al-Wazni, gave a presentation on the reality of shelters. The proposed amendments to the Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities were discussed, and a comprehensive mechanism was established to meet with all sectors, whether public or private, and workers and families who have direct contact and contact with access to the law.
