The Financial and Economic Committee
The Financial and Economic Committee is tasked with the following duties:
- Studying the draft law of the general budget and following up on proposals related to it.
- Studying the budgets of independent departments and following up on proposals related to them.
- Studying laws related to financial and monetary affairs, or those pertaining to increasing or decreasing revenues or expenditures.
- Studying laws concerning banks, financial institutions, financial instruments, securities, currency, exchange, and similar matters.
- Studying laws related to supply, trade, companies, insurance, investment, anti-monopoly measures, and similar areas.
- Studying the supply situation, availability of goods, and price movements.
- Studying the final accounts of the government and its independent departments.
- Studying reports from the Audit Bureau.
- Studying government policies and decisions related to the Committee’s scope of work.
