Response to the Throne Speeches

Response of the Senate to the Throne Speech at the opening the Second Ordinary Session of the 19th Jordanian Parliament

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful And peace and blessings be upon our Master Muhammad, the Arab Hashemite Prophet.
To His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein,

May God protect you and guide you on the path of truth and goodness.
Greetings to the head of the Hashemite family, the leader of the march, the guide of the caravan, and the embodiment of hope.
Greetings of loyalty, faithfulness, and sincerity to your Hashemite throne and to your loyal Crown Prince.
Your Majesty,
We are filled with pride as we stand before you, having gained confidence, determination, and hope after listening, along with the people of your dear Jordan, to the Throne Speech at the opening of the The Parliament of Jordan session, which carried the essence of your wisdom and your noble directives to your loyal council members, who carry your message and the message of Jordan and Jordanians for their welfare and the good of the nation. We are confident, alongside Your Majesty, that the path of our blessed country continues with a strong will that knows no despair, a will fill with determination and perseverance, to ensure that Jordan remains, as it always has been, a nation of leadership and progress.
Your Majesty,
As members of the Senate, like all sons and daughters of your Arab Jordanian people, we condemn the brutal and savage assaults committed by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people, who are waging a legitimate struggle against Israeli occupation as guaranteed by international law. We stand behind your wise leadership in your courageous and steadfast stance to protect the Palestinian people and their rights and to confront the Israeli aggression against them.
We affirm what you have emphasized for decades in all forums: that the international community must realize that a policy of double standards will not achieve security and stability in the region, and that achieving this requires a two-state solution that includes the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
We take great pride, Your Majesty, in your Hashemite guardianship of the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, as Jordan’s steadfast positions, both as a people and a leadership, will remain dedicated to defending the just Palestinian rights, no matter the sacrifices. The hallmark of our support is your statement: “Our compass will remain Palestine, and its crown is the noble Jerusalem.”
Your Majesty,
Responding to your aspirations for a strong, prosperous, and modern Jordan places significant responsibilities upon us to expedite the implementation of your visions for political, economic, and administrative modernization.
Now that we have begun to realize what has been a noble aspiration for you regarding political modernization, we look forward to conducting parliamentary elections during the coming year, in line with your visions and plans to transition Jordanian society to a new phase where youth and women participate widely, in action and not just words, based on national principles, distancing ourselves from regionalism, and enhancing democratic culture, while reinforcing loyalty to our Hashemite leadership. We assure you that we will tirelessly work to open avenues for them to take on their desired roles.
Your Majesty,
Your statement that “this country has a status and significance among nations” has instilled even more confidence, pride, and determination to contribute, steering clear of those who would discourage us, so that our efforts remain dedicated to preserving the esteemed position that our country Jordan enjoys.
We are filled with pride as we listen to your noble words expressing your admiration for our people, who know no failure, as their history is filled with challenges and accomplishments. With limited resources, they have penned remarkable success stories, prompting your esteemed address to our families and the sons and daughters of Jordan, commending each of them and affirming our complete commitment to the interests of our nation, while cautioning against the influence of current circumstances and the need for vigilance, ensuring that no detractor or ignorant person diminishes our achievements or questions our stances.
Your Majesty,
Our Jordanian Armed Forces, the Arab Army of sacrifice and redemption on the cherished soil of Palestine, on the walls of Jerusalem, on the heights of the Syrian plateau, and along our borders, stand guard for Jordan and our Arab brothers. Their stories of heroism will be passed down through generations, serving as a source of pride and support, rooted in your unwavering resolve for our active and retired soldiers. We extend our love, greetings, and admiration to the members of our Jordanian Arab Army and our vigilant security agencies, which ensure our safety and resilience.
Your Majesty,
We express our gratitude and appreciation to Your Majesty for inaugurating the ordinary session of the Parliament of Jordan, and we pledge to work with all our abilities and determination to achieve our national aspirations within your vision for the new Jordan, guided by your wisdom and following your steadfast, wise path.
In the Senate, we will ensure the full implementation of your noble directives in complete cooperation with the House of Representatives and the government, in accordance with constitutional frameworks, serving our supreme national interests. We will stand as support to Your Majesty in serving the nation, addressing various challenges, and defending our just cause.
We ask God to preserve Your Majesty and your loyal Crown Prince.
And God is the Guardian of success.
Peace be upon you and God's mercy and blessings.
