El-Fayez meets with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Jordan, Nayef bin Bandar Al-Sudairy

Amman - The President of the Senate, Faisal Al-Fayez, met in his office at the Senate House today, Sunday, with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Jordan, Nayef bin Bandar Al-Sudairy, whose term as Ambassador to the Kingdom has ended.

El-Fayez expressed his pride in the high level reached by the fraternal Jordanian-Saudi relations, which His Majesty King Abdullah II and his brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, are keen to develop and build on continuously.

El-Fayez praised the positions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting His Majesty King Abdullah II, in His Majesty's rejection of the initiative of US President Trump, which calls for the displacement of the Palestinians of the Gaza Strip to Jordan and Egypt, appreciating at the same time the positions of Saudi Arabia in supporting His Majesty, in his continuous efforts to resolve the Palestinian issue, based on the resolutions of international legitimacy and the two-state solution, in order to establish an independent Palestinian state, on Palestinian national soil with Jerusalem as its capital.

El-Fayez thanked the Saudi ambassador for his efforts to advance the fraternal Jordanian-Saudi relations in various fields, especially economic, investment and parliamentary ones, and to strengthen the cultural and social ties between the two brotherly peoples.

For his part, Ambassador Al-Sudairy thanked Jordan, its leadership, government and people, for the great respect and cooperation he received during his tenure in Jordan, from all officials in the Jordanian state, which had a great impact in facilitating his mission, in terms of strengthening the fraternal Saudi-Jordanian relations, at all levels and in various sectors.

He also thanked the Speaker of the Senate for his continuous and permanent cooperation, in everything that would build on the relations between the two brotherly countries and advance them in various fields.

The Second Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Dr. Abdullah Al-Nsour, also met with the Saudi ambassador to the Kingdom, and the meeting discussed the fraternal relations between Jordan and Saudi Arabia and ways to sustain and build on them, in addition to the strength of the bilateral relations between the two brotherly peoples.

During the meeting, the current situation in the region was discussed, and both sides stressed that the Jordanian-Saudi relations are historical and deep-rooted in various fields and at all levels.
