Amman, March 3 - The Senate Media and National Guidance Committee, headed by Senator Mohammad Daoudia, visited the Jordan Radio and Television Corporation and Roya TV on Monday.
The visit, which was attended by Senators Ali Al-Ayed, Omar Ayasrah, Mahmoud Al-Freihat, and Dr. Ammar Al-Qudah, comes within the framework of enhancing communication between media institutions and legislative bodies.
Daoudia explained that the two visits were conducted with the aim of reviewing the most prominent challenges facing the national media, both public and private, and ways to support it and stand on the projects and ambitions that national media institutions aspire to implement.
During the two visits, he praised the role of Jordan TV and Roya TV in defending the nation's achievements and highlighting its elements of strength, represented in the maturity and national unity of the Jordanian people, the wisdom of its Hashemite leadership, and the professionalism and patriotism of its military and security institutions.
Dawoudia stressed that the battle today is a battle of awareness and certainty, which requires supporting the national media and enhancing its role to enable it to compete in unequal financial conditions to continue presenting facts professionally and objectively, praising the efforts made by the two institutions to provide content that raises the level of Jordanian media and suits the taste of the high-class citizen.
During the committee's visit to the Jordan Radio and Television Corporation, its Director General Ibrahim Al-Buwarid reviewed the institution's efforts to provide media content that reflects national issues, with a focus on developing news and cultural programs that enhance community awareness.
The committee members also listened to an explanation from the Director General of Roya TV, Eng. Fares Al-Sayegh, about the mechanisms of producing news and variety programs, and the channel's role in enhancing purposeful media content.
