Amman – On Tuesday, the President of the Senate, Faisal Al-Fayez, met at his office in the Senate House with the Ambassador of Kuwait to the Kingdom, Hamad Rashid Al-Merri. They discussed the fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance and build upon them in various fields.
Al-Fayez praised the high level of Jordanian-Kuwaiti relations, emphasizing that the ties between the two brotherly countries are deep-rooted, historic, and strong. He highlighted that His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, are keen to maintain these relations for the benefit of shared interests and the service of Arab and Islamic causes.
For his part, the Kuwaiti Ambassador congratulated Al-Fayez on the issuance of the Royal Decree appointing him as President of the Senate, pointing out the strength of relations between the two brotherly countries and the high level these relations have reached across various fields. He also noted the shared commitment to further enhancing them to serve the interests of both countries and their peoples.
During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed the need to continue joint efforts to halt the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the occupied West Bank and to bring an end to the cycle of violence in the region.
