Senate Culture Committee Meets with Development and Youth Activists

Amman, May 21 - The Senate Culture, Youth, and Sports Committee, chaired by Senator Haifa Al-Najjar, met on Wednesday with Abla Sabra, President of the Nashmiyyat Sahab Association, and a number of development, cultural, and youth activists.

Al-Najjar stated that the meeting comes within the framework of the committee's efforts to enhance communication with the development, cultural, and youth sectors, based on its keenness to understand the needs of these sectors.

She emphasized that the committee is keen to follow up on everything related to these sectors through its periodic meetings and continuous field visits with relevant authorities, noting the committee's full awareness of everything related to good citizenship.

For her part, Sabra praised the committee's openness and direct communication, which reflects its keenness to listen to diverse cultural and youth voices and support their causes.

For their part, activists expressed their hope that the meeting would represent an effective step toward strengthening the partnership between decision-makers and the cultural and youth sectors, promoting creative activity and consolidating the role of culture as a pillar of national development.

They reviewed the most important economic, social, and educational challenges facing youth in the Kingdom's governorates, calling for the need to hold regular field meetings in the governorates and follow up on the implementation of projects that would provide job opportunities for youth and advance the developmental status of the governorates.
