A delegation headed by Ms. Asia Abdul Mutalib Yaghi, Member of the Jordanian Senate and Chairperson of the Committee for Persons with Disabilities, visited the Azerbaijan Agency for Social Development.
The guests first learned about the services provided to the population at Baku DOST Center No. 1 and were briefed on the activities and principles of DOST centers.
Later, Mr. Farid Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Agency for Science and Technology, provided the delegation with detailed information about the Agency's concept during the meeting. Reports indicated that more than 3.4 million citizens have received services at the Ministry of Science and Technology centers during the past period, with citizen satisfaction with these services reaching 98.5%.
Assia Yaghi expressed her happiness at visiting this major institution, which provides numerous services to the entire community. She highlighted areas of cooperation in promoting community development in Jordan and Azerbaijan through the exchange of experiences and resources, the exchange of successful programs and projects with the Agency, the provision of training and empowerment opportunities for individuals, and the promotion of community participation such as volunteering and community work.
A presentation on the DOST concept was given at the event. The presentation highlighted the inclusion of the DOST concept among global best practices, drawing attention to its international successes, and other issues.
The meeting discussed prospects for cooperation and exchanged views on issues of bilateral interest.
